Students on the verandah at Asa Wright.
The Nature Centre actively encourages schools to visit its properties, and currently hosts approximately 3,000 school-children each year at its Springhill facilities. During these school tours, the interpretive staff of the Nature Centre take students on a guided walk along the trails of the Springhill estate, and introduce students to the diverse tropical flora and fauna of the Arima valley. The Nature Centre can also accommodate school groups interested in more specific conservation activities, and educators interested in more focused educational experiences are encouraged to contact the Nature Centre’s Education and Community Outreach Specialist, Mr. Kenneth Fournillier.
To make a booking for a general tour of the AWNC’s Springhill Estate school principals, teacher and other educators are encouraged to use the following link to make a reservation: School Class Visitation and Reservations.
